GAUTHIER MOUGIN DEPARTMENTAL PARK
Points of interest
A large landscaped park of 1.6 hectares
- Design: Michel Desvigne, Grand Prix de l’urbanisme 2011
- 800 trees planted: hornbeams, beeches, oaks, pines, willows, poplars
- Local species, shrubs, sloping meadows, protective undergrowth
- Restored riverbanks, pedestrian and cycle paths, footbridges and esplanades
- A continuous network of vegetation connects the two points of the island.
An open-air art trail
- An open-air museum, with around twenty works spread between the Pointe des Arts, the park and the surroundings of La Seine Musicale.
- Showcasing contemporary French creation, with works from prestigious public and private collections.
- The Tot’aime, Monument to the Living, monumental sculpture created in 1994 by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has benefited from an exceptional restoration. This work is part of a remarkable sculpture trail on Île Seguin, developed by the Department since 2017, alongside creations by artists such as Kohei Nawa, Auguste Rodin, César or Jean-Bernard Métais.
- An original artwork integrated into the "Journey through Industries" route to recall the industrial history of the site.
- Support from the Emerige Endowment Fund, led by Laurent Dumas, the National Center for Visual Arts (CNAP), and the Regional Contemporary Art Fund (FRAC) of Ile-de-France.
A sustainable and accessible park
- Pedestrian and cycle paths and plenty of bicycle parking
- Accessibility for people with reduced mobility throughout the site
- Hyperconnectivity to public transport
- Daydé and Seibert bridges to reopen in spring 2026
- Integration into the sensitive natural areas of the Department
