« Hôtel de Ville, notre histoire commune »
to celebrate his 90th birthday
Exposition « Hôtel de Ville, notre histoire commune »
From December 17, 2024 to April 12, 2025
Hôtel de Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt
« La cité avait trouvé son âme. »
With these words, Senator-Mayor André Morizet concluded in 1934 a text presenting the town hall, which he had just had built. A « maison commune » intended to symbolize the union between Boulogne and Billancourt, which goes beyond a simple administrative union.
For this essential project, André Morizet called upon one of the leading architects of the time, Tony Garnier. The chosen location is right in the heart of the city. For ninety years, this majestic building, which is currently being considered for listing as a historical monument, has embodied the heart of the city.
On December 16, several months of celebrations surrounding the exhibition will begin.
