THE FUTURE OF SEGUIN ISLAND

The operational launch of the upstream tip will see the realization of a cultural and artistic hub. It will include, in particular, a contemporary art foundation, a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema, a "1 room, 1 artwork" hotel, and a program of offices and shops.

Located close to metro line 9 and Tramway T2, the island has strengthened its accessibility with the construction of the new Seibert Bridge towards Meudon in 2021.

In addition, a footbridge will link the downstream point to the new Grand Paris Express station.

The Société du Grand Paris expects the automatic metro line 15 south to be in service in 2025.

THE SEINE MUSICALE

A flagship of the island of Seguin, La Seine Musicale, designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, is a unique new cultural venue, able to accommodate all styles of music, for all audiences.

Cette culture pour tous et cette recherche d’excellence permanente se retrouveront dans La Grande Seine, l’Auditorium, les Studios Riffx, mais également les commerces et les jardins qui en font un lieu de promenade et de vie permanent.

More than 300 concerts a year set the pace for this architectural project, unique in Europe.
La Seine Musicale also hosts the Insula Orchestra, the Maîtrise des Hauts de Seine and the Jaroussky Academy in residence.

The operational launch of the upstream section will see the realization of a cultural and artistic hub including a contemporary art foundation, a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema, a "one room, one artwork" hotel, and office and retail space. Renowned architects are participating in this project: RCR Arquitectes (designers of the Soulages Museum and winners of the 2017 Pritzker Prize) and Baumschlager & Eberle (designers of the Ardeko office building on the Trapèze). These architectural creations will interact with the landscape designed along the Seine by Michel Desvigne, the landscape architect of Île Seguin.
