Led by Groupe Emerige, the contemporary art center is located at the Pointe des Arts on Île Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt, in the heart of Greater Paris.

Its programming showcases the French art scene in all its diversity, ranging from emerging artists to major figures of the 20th and 21st centuries. Each exhibition is conceived as a narrative, combining historical works, contemporary creations, and new productions created specifically for the venue.

Beyond its programming, Le Large supports artists in their creative practice by producing original works and providing a space for experimentation. In doing so, the art center affirms its role as an active supporter of contemporary creation.

Designed as a living space as much as an exhibition space, Le Large welcomes all audiences thanks to an ambitious accessibility policy, an attentive mediation and open spaces that foster interaction, contemplation, and the exchange of ideas.

Situated on Île Seguin—a site steeped in history and formerly a major hub of French industry—Le Large grounds its project in an ongoing dialogue between memory, architecture, landscape, and contemporary creation.

Le Large is a non-profit association (under the 1901 Act) chaired by Laurent Dumas and directed by Paula Aisemberg.

Moteur imaginaire

The inaugural exhibition Imaginary Engine, curated by international curator Cecilia Alemani, explores the complex relationships between humans, the factory, and the machine.
